There’s something about losing a dog that people who haven’t experienced it often don’t fully understand. I’ve grieved a lot of things in my life. I’ve lost people I loved. I’ve lost relationships, opportunities, and chapters of my life I never wanted to end. But if I’m being truthful, some of the deepest pain I have ever felt came from losing one of my dogs.
